UNC-Chapel Hill

Greetings!  Let me tell you a little bit about myself and where I come from.  Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, I attended Providence Day School, which is a small, private school.  After nine years, I decided to transfer to East Mecklenburg High School, a booming public school at the time, and enter the International Baccaleureate Program, one of the most challenging academic programs in the country.  There I became quickly involved due to the vast array of opportunities offered to students.  My endeavors included Student Body President, D.R.E.A.M. Team (Daring to Role Model Excellence through Athletic Mentorship), Key Club Vice-President, French Club, Varsity Basketball and Track.

After graduating with my IB diploma, I attended UNC-Chapel Hill for my undergraduate education.  Oddly enough, I was set on becoming an investment banker.  However, my interestes quickly shifted to biology and chemistry for reasons still unknown to me.  Four years later I entered UNC-CH School of Medicine with a degree in both biology and chemisty, the place at which I was catapulted to truly developing a focus on Lou Gehrig's Disease.  There I spent hours in the laboratory forming what knowledge I have to share with you today about one of the most complex diseases known to mankind

When I am not researching, I love playing sports.  From playing a fun game of football to simply shooting hoops, I enjoy engaging in practically any and all athletic activities.
I am also equally interested in investment banking and follow the stock market closely.  And still, for some reason unknown to me, I speak French fluently as it comes to me more naturally than anything else in this world...and yes, even neurology.
