AIDS As the world turns, millions of men, women and children are becoming infected with a silent virus. The Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, AIDS, derives and results from the dominance of another virus over an infected body. This disease, called the human immunodeficiency virus can infect and deteriorate any person’s immune system, the only defense mechanism the human body possesses. The seriousness of this type of virus causes one to pose questions such as; “How do I know I have HIV/AIDS?” & “How do I contract such a virus?" The truth of the matter remains that; one can only discover its presence by frequent testing. In America alone, 1 in every 5 African Americans knows of their infection. The rest are clueless and there are no specific, alerting and distinguishable symptoms of the virus, until its final stages. Leading up to those stages, neglecting to sustain and control this virus will inevitably lead to a weak and defenseless immune system. This causes one to fall deathly ill to common infections such as the common cold and pneumonia. Once the body falls to this state, one can not avoid a diagnosis of AIDS. This website, whether you may know some one with either illness, will inform you on all aspects of the epidemic that has plagued the world over.
