After reading the information about search
engines and copyright infringement ponder the following the questions.
Are search engine providers really the ones to blame for copyright
infringement?
Search engine providers are taking certain
precautionary measures
to
prohibit copyright infringement through the use of its services. Have search
engines done enough? What more can they do? What should they be required to
do?
Should the size of a copied image determine whether copyright infringement
has occurred? Is there really a difference between displaying a thumbnail
image that can be enlarged to the full image size, and displaying the actual
Are you bothered by the fact that the mechanism search engines use to assist
in detecting copyright is the same mechanism for which is being used to sue
search engines?
