Discussion Board Assignment

I’ve given you some examples of things I’ve noticed about nursing’s image. Now it’s your turn. Please enjoy this activity but do share what you find by posting on the Discussion Board entitled “How are we looking out there?” In this DB you will share what you have discovered about our image in the media. That media can be movies, TV shows, magazines, the national news, etc. However, do not use health care related literature . . . your consumers and neighbors probably don’t read that. Use the popular media and share an example or two. In your posting you should answer the following questions:

1. What was your source?
2. Give us the context. What was the image of nursing? Or were we missing altogether?
3. How did you react to this image?
4. Provide us with some take away thoughts from this week’s topic of nursing’s image in the media.
