"You" passages from
Sura 18
18:9
Have
you figured
that the young men of the Cave and the epitaph
were
one of Our signs
that bewilder?
18:17-18
And
you would
see the sun, when it rises,
wander past their cave to the right.
When it sets, it inclines over them from the left,
and they are in its opening.
That is one of the clearest of God's signs.
The one God guides is on the true path,
but one He sends astray – you won't find
him with friend or teacher.
You would figure
them awake though they are sleeping.
We make them turn over, to the right and the left.
Their dog is stretching out his forelegs on the threshold.
Had you encountered them, you
would have turned and fled,
and you would have been
filled with fear of them.
18:23-24
And don't ever
say of anything, "I'm doing that tomorrow,"
Unless God
wills. Remember your Lord if
you forget, and say,
"Perhaps my Lord may lead me with a closer guidance."
18:57
And
who is more unjust
than one who is reminded of
the signs of his Lord,
but who turns away from them, and forgets what his hands have done?
We have placed upon their hearts coverings, so they don’t understand,
and a weight on their ears; should you
call them to guidance,
they will not ever be guided.
18:83
They
will ask you of
Two-Horned Alexander.
Say, “I will tell you a story
about him.”
