This is the course home page. I will post general announcements and record changes I make to the website here. Use the dates as guidelines of what's been added since the last time you visited. Active links on the calendar indicate that lecture summaries have been posted for those dates.

- The log-likelihoods (and AICs) being returned for random effects Poisson models by the lmer function of the lme4 package are clearly wrong and bear no connection to reality. It appears though that the values it returns usually do rank the models in the correct order; if you are truly brave you can fit a series of WinBUGS models to verfy this. ;-) For now, continue to do Problem 4 as if nothing was amiss. Maybe some day this package will be ready for prime time.
- I've added some hints to Problem 3 on the final exam.

- I've added more hints to the final exam. A hint has been added to Question 5 of Problem 2 and another hint to Problem 4.

- The final exam is now complete and is due Thursday, December 11.
