Davis Library Resources These are generally paid services that UNC has access to. You may have to go to Davis Library website to click through, or you may even need to be on a UNC computer to get access.
- Mintel Reports: great in-depth reports about various markets
- RDS Business Suite: (formerly TableBase) good statistics about industries, though rather random what you might find
- Manta: A quick company lookup, includes basic company info (address, revenues, employees)
- Factiva: articles
- LexisNexis Academic: articles
- Gartner.com Web Portal: I can’t figure out how to use it, but it could have good stuff.
- OSIRIS: get good data mostly on public companies
- Wall Street Journal (Via NCLive & ProQuest Company): search for articles

- Alacra Wiki: industry overviews and links to resources
- American Society of Association Executives Gateway: find industry associations to contact for info.
- ThomasNet: list of industrial trade associations
- American FactFinder: very easy to get specific census data; another easy one, FedStats
- U.S. Patent Office: search trademarks and patents online
