Areas of Research: Dr. Cynthia Bulik is the William R. and Jeanne H. Jordan Distinguished Professor of Eating Disorders in the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she is also Professor of Nutrition in the School of Public Health and the Director of the UNC Eating Disorders Program. Her research has included treatment, laboratory, epidemiological, twin and molecular genetic studies of eating disorders and body weight regulation.

Areas of Research: Dr. Gabriel Dichter’s research uses brain imaging and psychophysiological techniques to examine core deficits and response to treatment in autism spectrum disorders and affective disorders.  Research opportunities include the chance to use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) at the Duke-UNC Brain Imaging and Analysis Center.

This internationally recognized statewide program is one of a kind in its pioneering approaches to research, service, training, treatment and the education of individuals with autism.
