The UNC Department of Psychology Community Clinic provides adult psychotherapy for a wide range of psychological and personal concerns including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Grief
  • Anger
  • Academic or vocational functioning
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Family
  • Self-esteem
  • Sexual orientation

Our theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and integrative.    We take a focused and evidence based approach to psychological treatment.  In individual therapy, you work together with your therapist to find useful ways to understand and improve your psychological functioning.  Individual therapy focuses on your concerns, guided by one or a combination of established therapy methods. All of these methods involve talking with your therapist with the goal of seeking to understand and solve your difficulties together.  All services are provided in an environment that is sensitive to multicultural and ethnic background, sexual orientation and individual differences.

Please call us at 962-6906 if you are a potential client or would like to make a referral.
