Director of Psychological Services
Dr. Erica Wise is the Director of the UNC Department of Psychology Community Clinic and the Adult Clinic. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the UNC Department of Psychology and is a Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina. She supervises, teaches and practices in the area of cognitive behavioral psychotherapy with adults. Her interests include ethical and legal issues in the provision of psychological services and the assessment of outcomes in psychotherapy.

Director, Jonathan Abramowitz, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Abramowitz is an Associate Professor of Psychology at UNC—Chapel Hill and a NC licensed and Board Certified Clinical Psychologist. He is an internationally recognized expert on the treatment of anxiety and a leading researcher in the field, having published over 100 books, book chapters, and journal articles in the field.

Dr. Jen Kogos Youngstrom is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Child and Family Services in Psychology, a Research Associate Professor in Psychiatry at UNC-Chapel Hill, and she is a Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina and Ohio. She conducts and supervises cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems work as well as evidence based assessment practices, and she is an investigator on assessment and therapy effectiveness grants. In addition to supervising graduate students in the Child and Family clinic for assessment and therapy, she teaches and conducts research on transporting treatments into the community.

Andrea Hussong, Ph.D.,
Associate Professor
Dr. Andrea Hussong is a Professor of Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill and a licensed Psychologist in North Carolina. Her expertise is in the development of substance disorders, particularly in adolescents and high-risk youth such as children of alcoholic parents. She supervises students in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy with children, adolescents and families in addition to her activities as a researcher and instructor. She is also initiating a study of an early prevention program designed to promote healthy development in preschool-aged children of alcoholic parents and their families.
Deborah Jones, Ph.D., Assistant Professor
Dr. Jones is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at UNC—Chapel Hill and a Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina. Dr. Jones is an expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy with children and adolescents, including parent-training for children with behavioral disorders and family therapy. In addition to supervising student therapists, Dr. Jones conducts workshops in the area to train professionals and parents in behavioral parent training techniques and has an active program of research on the health and well-being of children and families.
Mitch Prinstein, Ph.D., Associate Professor &
Director of Clinical Psychology
Dr. Prinstein is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the Director of Clinical Psychology at UNC. His expertise is in child and adolescent clinical psychology, with a special emphasis on adolescent peer relationships, depression, self-harm, suicidality, and health risk behaviors. Dr. Prinstein has been a licensed clinical psychologist for the past 8 years. He supervises students conducting cognitive behavioral trearment with youth of all ages. Dr. Prinstein also frequently works with school districts, and provides workshops and in-services to parent groups, school personnel, and other health care professionals.
Eric Youngstom, Ph.D., Associate Professor
Dr. Eric Youngstrom is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at UNC Chapel Hill and is a Licensed Psychologist in Ohio. He is an internationally recognized expert on pediatric bipolar disorder and a leading researcher in the field, having published over 100 peer reviewed book chapters and journal articles, and receiving grants from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Ohio Department of Mental Health as well as various foundations to conduct research in this area.

Co-Director, Jennifer Kirby, Ph.D.
Dr. Baucom has been a pioneer in the development and evaluation of cognitive-behavioral couple therapy, which serves as the basis for treatment in the Clinic. He has developed and evaluated couple interventions for over thirty years.
Dr. Kirby has been involved in a wide variety of couple-based treatment programs, including interventions for individual psychopathology, health concerns, relationship distress, infidelity, and relationship education.
In addition to supervising therapists in the clinic, Drs. Baucom and Kirby conduct workshops to train other mental health professionals in couple therapy, develop and evaluate a wide variety of couple treatment programs, and, publish their findings with a commitment to providing treatment for couples that has been demonstrated to be effective.
