Studies
Beginning in the academic year 2007-08, the Center for the Study of
the American South will offer the McColl Fellowship to support the completion
of a dissertation

Frances Hall Ferris Fund for Undergraduate Research
The Center for the Center for the Study of the American South announces the establishment of the Frances Hall Ferris Fund to support research by UNC-CH undergraduates on women in the American South. As many as two awards of $500 will be made each spring, beginning in 2008, for use in the subsequent fiscal year. Click here to read more.

The Manuscript Department of the Academic Affairs Library offers stipends
to graduate students, faculty, and independent scholars who plan to use
the resources available in the Southern Historical Collection for a major
