  • The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL)
    CQL has been at the forefront of the movement to improve the quality of services and supports for people with intellectual disabilities and people with mental illness.

  • The Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD)
    This is a direct link to the US Department of Health & Human Services Administration for Children & Families. The ADD is the Federal agency responsible for implementation and administration of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (DD Act) and the disability provisions of the Help America Vote Act.

    To ensure that people with disabilities are treated as equals and that they are given the same decisions, choices, rights, responsibilities, and chances to speak up to empower themselves; opportunities to make new friends; and to learn from their mistakes.

  • American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD)
    AAMR promotes progressive policies, sound research, effective practices, and universal human rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Effective January 1, 2007 AAMR will officially become the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD).

    The National Direct Service Workforce (DSW) Resource Center supports efforts to improve recruitment and retention of direct service workers who help people with disabilities and older adults to live independently and with dignity.
