Developmental Disabilities Training Institute (DDTI) is committed to respecting your privacy. In general, you can visit www.unc.edu/depts/ddti without revealing any personal information about yourself. DDTI at times does collect information regarding visitors to our web site, such as domain name, number of visits, time spent, and what pages were viewed. We do this to measure traffic and improve the content of our site. We analyze this data for trends and statistics. We also share this information within DDTI to enable us to better understand our clients’ product and service needs.

Personal Information

There are times, however, when we may request information from you, such as your name, address, and e-mail address. When additional information is requested, we will try to let you know at the time of collection how we intend to use the personal information you provide, such as to respond to your inquiry, conduct a survey, or allow you to access specific information.

Any information provided by you will be used for DDTI's purposes only. Your information will not be shared or sold to other individuals, companies, or agencies unless required by law. However, DDTI may need to provide your name and delivery address to third parties that DDTI uses for delivering specific services to you. Our web sites may provide links to third party sites. Since we do not control those web sites, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third party sites.

If at anytime you wished to be removed from DDTI's mailing list, please submit an email to DDTI stating your request.

Security

DDTI uses the North Carolina Electronic Payment Program to process all credit card payments. All transactions are approved or disapproved through the North Carolina Electronic Payment Program so no credit card information is transmitted to or stored at our site.

Where appropriate, we utilize 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) whenever necessary to encrypt sensitive information. If your browser does not support 128 bit encryption, our servers are capable of negotiating 40 bit SSL as well.

DDTI is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect the individual identifying information that you provide. You can help DDTI maintain the accuracy of any personal information by keeping your login information on our site(s) up to date.
