Shauna Cooper

Dr. Shauna Cooper has completed her postdoctoral fellowship with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Training Program in Research on Black Child Development. Dr. Cooper accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at The University of South Carolina.
Areas of Research: How socio-contextual factors, such as gender and social context (e.g., experiences with racial discrimination) affect parental socialization in African American families as well as their relation to the developmental and educational outcomes of African American adolescents.
