|China Conference Announced|
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has announced an important forthcoming conference on China, to be held on the campus Thursday, November 4, 1999, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Organized by the Universitys Center for International Studies and Kenan-Flagler School of Business, the conferences theme is The Politics of Doing Business in China: Chasing the Dragons Tail and Winning.
Speakers will be Sidney Rittenberg, president, Rittenberg Associates; M. Christine Vick, partner, Andreae, Vick & Associates; Louis Kraar, board of editors, Fortune magazine; William Warwick, chairman and former CEO, AT&T China; and Michael Hunt, Emerson Professor of History, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The keynote speaker is the Honorable Li Zhaoxing, ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to the United States.
A registration fee of $90 will be charged.
