Peter Bridges After studying at Dartmouth College and Columbia University, and serving in the U. S. army, Ambassador Bridges served as a career U.S. Foreign Service officer from 1957 to 1986, with postings to Panama, Washington, Moscow, Prague, and Rome, in addition to his tour in Mogadishu. Since retirement, he has been active in both the public and private sectors, including a stint in Prague with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development .
