I wish that Francis Sempa, in his article on Bill Buckley and Cold War, had pointed out that Khrushchev's threat that that “We will bury you,” can be interpreted in two ways. One, as Bill Buckley saw it, is that the Soviet Union would defeat the United States and the West in any military confrontation. But another, and more likely explanation, is that communism would outlive capitalism, and that the Soviets would attend its funeral.
