Services

Services offered by the Curriculum Materials Center include:

Reference Assistance
Staff provides assistance locating and using materials in the CMC, as well as help finding materials located outside the CMC.

Bibliographic Instruction
Staff is available to provide bibliographic instruction classes in the School of Education. Faculty is asked to schedule an appointment two weeks in advance of the class visit. In addition, staff works one-on-one with visitors to the Curriculum Materials Center.

Reserve Materials
After completing the appropriate paperwork in accordance with copyright law, faculty may place items on reserve for their students to use while in the library. Reserve materials do not circulate.

Computers, Printers and Copiers
Three computer workstations are available for online searching of ATHENA, the UNC library catalog and the Internet, as well as basic word processing. Staff is available to help patrons with the search process. A copier is available for patron use with a UNC ONE card. Printing services are available in both the Smallwood and the Mercer Reynolds computer labs.
