| All Stars, Sr. is a three-year, multiple site (covering 20+ schools in three states) drug prevention program funded by an SBIR grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Designed specifically to appeal to high school students, and to be delivered in mandatory health education classes, All Stars includes activities coordinated to supplement traditional high school health education textbooks. Activities address nine mediating variables known to effectively impact the onset and cessation of substance use. EvAP is responsible for the design, data collection, analysis, and reporting of the program evaluation. The EvAP evaluation is designed specifically to assess fidelity of implementation, program value/impact (from both the teachers’ and the students’ perspective), and decay of program effectiveness over time. The evaluation is being performed in collaboration with faculty from UNC Chapel Hill School of Public Health. |
