Dr. Amy Anderson

Senior Evaluation Specialist
Dr. Amy Anderson is an Evaluation Specialist with EvAP. Her current projects include working with UNC-Chapel Hill's SCALE program on evaluations of their grant projects, including LiteracyCorps, Student to Student, and Learning to Teach, Learning to Serve. Her work with these projects has focused on designing evaluation instruments and trainings that contribute to participants' increased evaluation capacity. Additional EvAP projects have included the development of assessment and evaluation tools for clients including First 5 LA, a comprehensive multi-million dollar organization providing programs for young children and their families in an effort to promote school readiness; and the UNC-Chapel Hill Center for Global Initiatives (formerly known as the University Center for International Studies (UCIS)).
Dr. Anderson completed her Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Culture, Curriculum, and Change at UNC-Chapel Hill in August 2006. Her dissertation was titled "Language Matters: A Study of Teachers' Uses of Language for Understanding Their Work," and focused on the impact of administrative and academic languages on teachers' experiences and interactions with these communities.
