Evaluation Consultant
Dr. Michelle Jay, a recent graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Education's Culture, Curriculum, and Change Program, serves as an evaluation consultant for EvAP. Prior to her current position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of South Carolina, Michelle served as a graduate assistant for EvAP where she participated in the development of an evaluation toolkit for the UNC-Chapel Hill Center for Global Initiatives (formerly known as the University Center for International Studies (UCIS)) to evaluate the effectiveness of K-12 International Outreach Programs. She has also participated in an evaluation of the School of Education's Masters for Experienced Teachers program and the evaluation of GEAR-UP North Carolina, a college access initiative that seeks to increase the number of first-time, low income college attendees in the state.
At the University of South Carolina , she is working to develop a collaborative evaluation relationship with USC's TRIO Program for which she has written evaluation reports for their Educational Talent Search and Educational Opportunity Programs.
