Upward Bound Parent Associations

Upward Bound parents are organized into associations that provide assistance to program participants, serve as a support group of program parents, serve as a community ambassador and recruiter students, and provide advocacy for Upward Bound and other TRIO programs. Each target county has an Upward Bound Parent Association that convenes monthly meetings. Target County Associations provide on-site activities and projects for Upward Bound participants that assist them with academic and personal growth. In essence, the Associations assist Upward Bound with the achieving its mission- to help students with skill and motivational enhancement sufficient for success in completing high school, entering college and completing a program of study at a post secondary institution.
