Technology In English Studies at UNC-CH

The Department of English and Comparative Literature is committed to pursuing digital literacy through scholarship and education. In cooperation with its institutional partners, the department supports meaningful access to instructional technology for graduate and undergraduate classrooms, including University Writing Program and literature courses.

The Studio for Instructional Technology in English Studies (SITES) located in Greenlaw 314 is a space for graduate students and faculty to experiment with applications like web-authoring software, photo editing, and digital movie production for research or teaching purposes. SITES operates Greenlaw 316, a linked computer classroom, where faculty and teaching fellows pursue knowledge through emergent technologies.
