This conference, to be held on April 20, 2002, is part of a series of events examining the Franco-Arabic experience in the modern world. Professors Martine Antle and Sahar Amer, in conjunction with the Center for European Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, collaborated in coordinating and sponsoring this special series.
