Giving to CES

Your gift to CES helps foster new approaches to the study of contemporary Europe. It enables students and faculty to pursue their research, brings to campus innovative thinkers, and makes possible outreach services to North Carolina K-12 classrooms.

The Center has three funds to which you can give:

• CES General Trust Fund
• Ruth Mitchell-Pitts START (Student Travel and Research Term) Fellowship: Established to honor and commemorate former CES Executive Director Dr. Ruth Mitchell-Pitts and her commitment to advancing the study of Europe, this living memorial provides assistance to graduate students conducting research in Europe.
• Friends of the Transatlantic Masters Program: Alumni of our Transatlantic Masters Program are encouraged to consider giving to this fund, intended for international student scholarships.

Online giving to CES is easy and secure. Simply visit the Carolina Development Office’s "Make a Gift" page. Please select a school/unit/program – scroll down to "Other". Please select a fund – Select "Other" and then click on "Search Funds" to the right of that box. When asked for a keyword, type either “Center for European Studies”, “Ruth Mitchell-Pitts START Fellowship” or "Friends of the TransAtlantic Masters Program". Enter the amount you are able to give and click "Add to cart". You will then be prompted through the online payment opinions. It is possible to pay with Visa, MasterCard and Amex.

If you would prefer to contribute with a personal check, please make the check payable to UNC-Chapel Hill and write Center for European Studies (acct # 1441), Ruth Mitchell-Pitts START Fellowship (acct # 5555), or Friends of TAM (acct # 6-67557) in the note section of the check.
