Professional Summary
Kristin S. Ondrak, Ph.D. is a Lecturer in the
Department of Exercise and Sport Science. She received her B.S. degree in
Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University (2001), her M.S. degree
in Kinesiology from Arizona State University (2003) and her Ph.D. in Human
Movement Science from UNC-Chapel Hill (2008). Additionally, in 2007, she
obtained her Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) certification from
the American College of Sports Medicine.
Prior to her doctorate degree, she worked as a Professional Research Assistant
at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Her research
interests are in pediatric exercise physiology issues including obesity,
diabetes and physical activity. She is a member of the American College of
Sports Medicine (national and southeast chapter) and the North American Society
for Pediatric Exercise Medicine. Dr. Ondrak teaches several classes at UNC
including: Human Physiology (EXSS 276), Exercise Physiology (EXSS 376), Exercise
Testing and Prescription in Healthy Populations (EXSS 410), and Sports Nutrition
(EXSS 360). In addition to these classes, Dr. Ondrak is the Assistant Director
of the Applied Physiology Laboratory. |
