EXSS to offer study abroad program in Summer 2008

The Department of Exercise & Sport Science in cooperation with the UNC Study Abroad program is developing courses for the summer of 2008 in Montevideo Uruguay. Sports Nutrition (EXSS 360) and Physiological Basis of Human Performance (EXSS 376) are planned to be offered during the first summer session (May-June) at the Instituto Universitario ACJ (College of Physical Education) in Montevideo. UNC students will take the courses in conjunction with students from throughout South America who are studying at the Instituto Universitario. The courses will be taught in English. Spanish language proficiency will not be a requirement. Cultural events and trips are planned for several locations in Uruguay. Details about the program will be posted soon at EXSS departmental web site as well as the Study Abroad website.
