Admission Requirements and Application Materials
 

 

- Admission to the master's program is an extremely competitive process.

- Applications received by January 1 are given priority consideration for admission and funding   opportunities.

  • Completed Applications will include the following:

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant Application

  • UNC Graduate School Application

  • Personal Statement

  • Resume

  • GRE Scores

- Preference is given to applicants who exceed the 50th percentile on the verbal and  quantitative portions of the GRE

  • 1 Copy of Your Transcript sent to the department and 1 copy sent to the Graduate School

- Preference is given to applicants who have at least 3.0 GPA cumulative.

  • Three Letters of Recommendation

- One letter must be from a former professor

 

 

 

 

- Top candidates will be invited to campus for interviews, usually in late February.
