Increased interest in sports, physical fitness, exercise, and wellness has produced diverse career options beyond the
more traditional role of physical educator in schools and colleges. Completing the degree requirements for the
Bachelor of Arts with a major in EXSS provides the student with the background necessary to pursue a variety of
careers in the health-related fitness field, the management of these programs, and the management of more
traditional sport programs in a variety of settings. Course requirements for the major in
Exercise and Sport Science are

Important:

At least 6 (18 hours) of the 8 courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

NO EXSS course may be taken pass/d/fail by an
EXSS major.

A maximum of 45 hours in EXSS courses may be applied toward the A.B.
degree.
