The Department of Exercise
and Sport Science no longer offers a program leading to teacher licensure in
Physical Education. Students interested in becoming
a teacher are recommended to pursue one of the following options:
- Transfer to an institution offering a physical education program
leading to teacher licensure.
- Major in exercise and sport science here at UNC-CH and take
elective courses in the major that may transfer to another college/university.
Upon graduation, enroll in a "licensure-only" program at an appropriate
institution. This "licensure-only" program will take 3-4 semesters to
complete. Students interested in teacher education may wish to take the
following courses: EXSS 205, 206,
207, 210,
221, and
211.
