ON-LINE INFORMATION
The Office of the University Registrar maintains a course search engine for classes offered every term. This search engine can be accessed from the Registrar’s website (public version, results reflect enrollment from the previous day) or through Connect Carolina in the Student Services Center (an ONYEN and password are required). To search for open seats in an FYS, set the course number criteria to “less than or equal to 89” and select the “Show Open Classes Only” box. Use the additional search criteria to narrow your search.

In preparation for each upcoming semester, the FYS office prepares a document that lists and describes the courses that are planned.  For the fall semester, this document is a formal brochure that is published and is distributed to students at their CTOPS session. For the spring semester, the FYS course listing is less formal. We are pleased to announce the spring courses here:

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Information about the requirements fulfilled by each FirstYear Seminar can be found in the Undergraduate Bulletin. The information is also listed in the brochure or course listing for each semester. First Year Seminars numbered "089" are rotating topics courses that do not carry the same General Education designations from semester to semester.
