Facilities
Facilities related to department of geography include geography department computer lab, ODUM institute computer labs, ATN's HPC(high performance computing), and Davis GIS computer lab.
Geography Computer Lab (319 Saunders Hall)
This
lab has 10 IBM PCs, 1 UNIX desktop, 2 scanners, and 2 printers.
Typical
software
installed on PCs: Microsoft office, ERDAS Imagine, ArcGIS 8.X, ArcView 3.X, sPlus, SAS, Trimble Pathfinder Office, Matlab, and other utility software.

ODUM Institute - Manning Computer Labs
ODUM institute has two computer labs in Manning Hall.
(1) Computer Lab 1 has 12 Computers - 3GHz CPU, 2G Memory, 76G HD, Local Login, but AFS can be
used to access individual account. It also has an 11*17 color printer, and a digitizer.
Software installed on both labs are identical, and can be divided into four categories:
- Communication
- Data Analysis
- Data Sources
- Utilities
Note:
Additional software can be installed on request.
Open - 9-5, Monday through Friday.

Research Computing division is to provide the infrastructure and
support necessary for research efforts on campus. Supported research
applications include software packages in the areas of science,
geographic information systems (GIS), mathematics and statistics,
