Pickles receives fellowships, travel award, etc.

John Pickles, Phillips Distinguished Professor of International Studies in the Department of Geography, has been awarded a Grier/Woods Presbyterian Initiative Fellowships in Chinese Studies and a Grier/Woods Travel Award: from the Carolina Asia Center http://www.artsandsci.unc.edu/news/news.xml?id=9029

He has also been accepted into the 2006-2007 Academic Leadership Fellows Program in the Institute for the Arts and Humanities.
