Research Interests
I conduct medical
geography/ spatial epidemiology research that uses geographic
information systems, satellite remote sensing, and spatial
modeling techniques. Most of my research has been on
infectious diseases in the developing world including cholera,
dysentery (shigellosis), visceral leishmaniasis (kala-azar),
dengue fever, avian influenza, and acute lower respiratory
infection. I also conduct research that looks at
neighborhood-level effects on health and healthcare. For more
information please see the Spatial
Health Research Group.
