In considering colleges, Raegan valued having a wide range of curricular options, and an invitation to participate in the Honors Program helped her decide to come to Chapel Hill. She found that Carolina offers undergraduate degrees in 97 fields, from accounting to women's studies. Inside and outside the classroom, Raegan revels in the richness of opportunities she has found here. She spent her first summer as a Carolina student working in a prenatal clinic and singing in a jazz band.
"I have a very eclectic set of academic interests, and that's why I found the UNC Honors Program so appealing. I sought a place which would allow me to pursue African Studies while providing me with the strong science background I'll need for medical school. My Honors course offerings have exposed me to a diverse mix of subject areas, and the faculty at Carolina represent top-notch scholars and teachers in all fields of study."
