To help realize its mission, the Institute is also committed to assisting in the development of junior scholars who will enter the field of academia.

Moore Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (MURAP)
Carolina Postdoctoral Program for Faculty Diversity

Additionally, the IAAR seeks to build a base of support through the cultivation of an intellectual community of Faculty Fellows who will also assist in grooming junior scholars, in drafting research proposals, and in creating and executing programs. These activities will not only heighten the visibility of the IAAR and strengthen its contribution to scholarship but also lead to mutually beneficial collaborations with other research units.
