American-French-European Union Relations after George W. Bush: Legacies and Opportunities
 
Discussion followed by responses, conversation and a wine & cheese reception.
 
Speaker, Pascal Bruckner, French novelist, essayist, journalist and public intellectual, will discuss current American-French-European relations.
 
Responders include Homer Sutton, Davidson College professor of French and specialist in contemporary French society and culture, and Joe Golsan, Texas A&M University distinguished professor and head, Department of European, Classical Languages & Cultures. Lloyd Kramer, UNC distinguished professor of history and chair of the history department, will moderate.
 
Free and open to the public, this event is presented by the Institut Français de Washington in cooperation with The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC General Alumni Association.
