conversation partners
 This
program is for UNC-Chapel Hill international students who are
recent arrivals to the U.S. International participants meet with a
Conversation Partner for private one-on-one conversations
for an hour a week. Conversation Partners are University students or
members of the Chapel Hill community who want to help answer questions
foreign students may have about their new living situations in Chapel
Hill. They are also available to help international students with their
pronunciation and understanding of English.
International students
can request a partner any time during the year by completing the International
Student Programs Application.
English speakers,
students, or community members, can volunteer any time during the year
to serve as a Conversation Partner for an International Student or
