POISON DART frog EXHIBITION

The Global Studies Poison Dart Frog Vivarium sits in the lobby of CIAS on the 2nd floor of the GEC Fed-Ex building.

It was built and created by Eli Hornstein (Robertson Scholar, Class of 2014) and mirrors the rainforest environment that the frogs originate from. All our frogs are domestically bred and non-toxic.

As of October 1, 2009 we have:
1 Dendrobates leucomelas or yellow 'bumblebee' frog.
2 Dendrobates azureus or Okopipi which are azure blue.
4 Dendrobates auratus - green-black frogs
1 Dendrobates pumilio - blue-red frog
2 brown green

The Global Studies Vivarium is funded entirely with private monies.
