Many people have compared the Internet to a highway of information....

But with so much of the information being either false or only partially correct, sometimes it seems more like a high school cafeteria: filled with rumors and nasty fights.

Remember how quickly a story could spread through the school?  Well, millions of people use the Internet everyday.  So when a rumor starts on the Net, it has the potential to reach countless numbers of people in a short amount of time, usually through email forwards.

So what's the problem?  Most of us have received lots of forwards during the time on the Net.  We can tell the difference between the true stuff and the not-so-true stuff.  And lots of the not-so-true stuff are so-called Urban Legends--modern tall tales that no one expects you believe anyway.Right?
