Research: The Quest for Content

Goals for today:

• Learn about research and reporting
  from a special guest speaker, Teresa Leonard,
  director of news research at the News & Observer
• Check out Bob's Weekend Answers
• Discuss the almost-mid-term.
• Discuss the Web Page Assignment.
• Look at information about and from "the government."

Assignment:

• Catch up with learning Fetch and picture-scanning after last week's lab problems.
• Read DTE: Pages 33-49 to get the jump on government information.
• Follow some of the links below (we'll come back to them next week).
• Use search engines to look for information on your topic.
