Your participation in this course comes with
the expectation that all of your work will comply
strictly with the UNC Honor Code. This will be taken
very seriously and academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.
In the online world where "copy and paste" are constant
menu options, you must be careful to respect the work of
others, develop your own ideas, and honestly document sources.
Be careful with your electronic note-taking so that you
do not accidentally mix your original work and someone else's work.
Within the realm of academic honesty, however, there is
more than enough room for the spirit of cooperation and
collaborative learning. This course hopes to encourage
you learn from each other and to help each other; just
remember that you should be proud of all the hard work
that you do and you should be equally proud to attach your name to it.
If you have any questions about your responsibility as a student or about the responsibility of the instructor under the Honor Code, please feel free to come see me, another faculty member, or the Office of the Dean of Students.
