Details: "The Monitor staff has won many national awards in the past decade, including POY awards for "Best Use of Photos," "One Week’s Work," 'Feature Photo," "News Story,"  campaign coverage and picture editing. Columbia Journalism Review magazine recently called the Monitor "the best small newspaper in the country." The staff consists of a photo editor and three staff photographers. An intern is treated as a staff photographer, and will be closely supervised and coached. Interns have many opportunities to cover sports, news, features, and are strongly encouraged to produce photostories. Portfolios should include photostories. Applicants should send a portfolio (slide portfolio preferred, but digital  portfolios on disk or CDs are okay.
