The Academic Success Program for Students with LD/ADHD

 

Academic Success Program (ASP) provides legal accommodations and services to all graduate and professional school students (diagnosed by a psychologist) with learning disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. 

We also consult with students who are in the process of getting evaluated, or who believe they might need to get evaluated due to ongoing academic difficulties.

Though some graduate students registered with ASP use accommodations while completing coursework (i.e. access to lecture notes, extended test time), coaching is the service most used.  ASP is unique among similar offices at other universities because we have two certified coaches on staff.  Through coaching, students are supported to define and make progress on their goals.

Beginning in the fall 2009 semester, ASP will offer dissertation coaching.  This is for PhD students who want to focus specifically on issues related to completing a dissertation, including:

 

 

While students registered with our office will be given priority to coaching, other interested students may enroll as space permits.
