Carolina Leadership Development

Students Participating in a Leadership RetreatCarolina Leadership Development offers a variety of programs, services, and academic courses for everyone interested in leadership at the University. We are committed to serving the Carolina community by advocating for leadership as a process of social change. Our opportunities facilitate this mission by:

  • Providing theoretical and experiential leadership learning opportunities for students by means of established membership programs, consultations, academic courses in leadership, and collaboration with students, staff, and faculty; and

  • Serving as a leadership resource to the Carolina student body, faculty and staff of the University, and the surrounding community.

Central to Carolina Leadership Development's philosophy is the idea that anyone can be a leader. Our programs and academic courses are designed for students with a wide range of leadership experience. One need not have experience as the president of a student organization, indeed one need not even have been involved in a student organization, to participate in and benefit from the leadership education offered by Carolina Leadership Development. Our programs are designed to challenge participants to expand their understanding of their own leadership potential. The programs and academic courses offered by Carolina Leadership Development are open and available to all students.
