ESTEEM Spring Women's Leadership Conference
Saturday, April 5th, 10am-3pm
UNC-Chapel Hill, Sonya Haynes Stone Center

ENCOURAGING SISTERS THRU EMPOWERMENT EDUCATION AND MOTIVATION (ESTEEM) is holding its annual Spring Women's Leadership Conference on Saturday April 5th in the Stone Center from 10am-3pm. The conference will include a choice of 2 of 6 seminars with focuses on academic leadership, financial leadership, community leadership, and career leadership. The seminars will be followed by a luncheon with keynote speaker Dr. Nikki Jones.The cost to attend is $6, but there are SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE for UNC students through the Carolina Leadership Development Office. Cost includes light breakfast, lunch, seminars, and packets. To register, download the registration form and return it to the CLD office or email it to calyssa@email.unc.edu. WILD: Women in Leadership Development
November 10, 2007
8am - 4pm
Location: Peace College, Raleigh

The WILD Conference is a leadership opportunity designed specifically for women college students. The mission of the WILD Conference is to inspire, develop, and empower a diverse community of collegiate women as leaders. We strive to do this by teaching relevant skills, creating networking opportunities, recognizing and challenging structural barriers, and encouraging self-reflection.

The program for this one-day conference will include a light breakfast, several unique workshop sessions, lunch, and a keynote panel.

Registration forms for the 2007 conference are now available for pick-up in the CLD office (F.P.G. Union, Suite 3505) or for download here. Completed registrations are due in hard copy to Union 3505 or email (lead@email.unc.edu) by October 26th. The cost of the conference is $15; however, student scholarships are available. Contact Julie Chase at lead@email.unc.edu with any questions.

STRETCH Conference
Friday, October 26-Saturday, October 27

STRETCH(STudents REaching Toward CHange) focuses on leadership roles in public service and activism and the issues driving social service today. Participants will get the chance to meet other students dedicated to fostering change through service and learn the skills that will drive them to lead the way. The theme of this year's conference is reaching beyond Carolina, and out into the community, state, nation, and world. This conference fulfills one skills training for the Public Service Scholars Program.

The Friday portion of the conference will be held on October 26 from 5:00-8:30 in the Stone Center Multipurpose Room. This portion will include dinner catered by Mediterranean Deli. Mary Easley, First Lady of North Carolina, will be the keynote speaker.

The Saturday portion of the conference will be held on October 27 from 10:00-3:00 in the Student Union. Students will get the chance to participate in workshops led by the Campus Y, Carolina Leadership Development, El Centro Latino, and others.
