
The Office for Undergraduate Research (OUR) announces the availability of awards (up to $700) to UNC-Chapel Hill undergraduate students to defray the cost of travel to present results of their research or creative performance at a professional conference in their field.
Eligibility:
All currently enrolled undergraduate students in good academic standing are eligible to apply. The travel must occur either while the student is still enrolled or within 3 months of graduation from UNC-Chapel Hill. Priority will be given to students who also present their work at an annual Celebration of Undergraduate Research symposium organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research.
Application process:
The student must submit the on-line application, and a supporting statement from their faculty advisor. Applications received by the 15th of each month will be reviewed prior to the end of the month. The faculty advisor statement should be delivered to:

Awards:
OUR can help with the costs of transportation to the conference and registration fees for the profession conference. Successful applicants will be reimbursed for up to $700 of the their travel expenses. ORIGINAL receipts or invoices will be required for reimbursement. The travel must be completed and the request for reimbursement must be made made either while the student is still enrolled or within 3 months of graduation. Successful applicants will be asked to provide an electronic copy of their poster or talk, and also a copy of the conference program if available.
