Bryce is interested in a number of issues in the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of psychology, and moral psychology. He has recently worked on the intentionality of empathetic emotions, the legitimacy of introspective reports as scientific data, and the nature of our commonsense attributions of mental states. He is currently finishing a Ph.D. thesis in which he argues for the existence of group mental states.
Bryce is spending the 2007-8 academic year visiting Harvard University and working in Marc Hauser's Cognitive Evolution Laboratory..
