John
is a graduate of California State University, Northridge with
a BA in Philosophy (2006). John is interested in the philosophy
of language (esp. reference and the semantics and pragmatics
of proper names and descriptions), the philosophy of mind
(esp. intentionality, ontology, and mental content), philosophical
logic (esp. existence, presupposition, and descriptions),
and metaphysics (esp. ontological commitment and modality);
he is also interested in the philosophy of science (esp. scientific
explanation and the structure and metaphysics of scientific
theories), the philosophy of religion (esp. the divine attributes
and religious diversity), and aesthetics (esp. metaphor and
the paradox of fiction). Aside from philosophy, John enjoys
spending time with his beautiful wife, Laura, and their adorable
cat, Ferra, cooking (but definitely not baking), eating good
food, drinking good beer and wine (though not at the same
time), playing basketball, NBC’s “The Office”,
and anything Will Ferrell.
