Sarah
Scott's research interests include: philosophy of science,
philosophy of physics, epistemology, the history of philosophy
of science and the history of science. She also enjoys reading
in the philsophy of mathematics. Sarah was work-in-progress
co-ordinator for the 2004-2005 academic year. The title of
her master's thesis is "the Coherence of Aristotle's
Theory of Time". She will be presenting a version of
this paper at a conference in June. Sarah is currently working
on her dissertation, focusing on a methodological test for
ad hocness in the acceptance of hypotheses as a result of
the appearance of contraindicating evidence.
